The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of characters who will separate from the central cast to begin their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Given an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.
That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.
Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the party understands precisely where to go next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi—whose death started the story’s plot—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into the hidden lair, striking the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.
The traitor then cleared his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond the city, with Cyd close behind.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each member has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants revenge.
- The adventurer knows Timmony and advises that it is a hostile place.
- The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the party access places they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This results in them few options but to head to Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.
What’s Next?
Based on the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to form the Seekers and Schemers tables.
Viewers can expect finding out which players will be assigned to which table in the season’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
